Not every build suits a standard 25.5" or 24.75" scale. Odd Scale Gear brings together our DIY kits and replacement necks in shorter and longer scale lengths, so you can find the right neck for your hands, your tuning and your sound.

  • 27" and 30" baritone guitar kits and necks for drop tunings and extended-range builds, including 7-string

A longer scale gives low tunings firmer string tension, clearer notes and less fret buzz without going up a string gauge. A shorter scale makes chords and bends easier and suits a compact guitar or bass.
