I have to admit I was a little nervous as to what to expect when ordering a kit from across the world, but have to say that it was delivered to me withing 2 weeks with no issues. The kit itself is built well for a beginner or intermediate builder- the body was in fantastic condition and didn’t see any major nicks, scratches or dents. The neck however needs TLC. The frets obviously needed to be levelled out, but some of the frets on my kit were actually popping out……not sure if it wasn’t glued properly.
the wiring diagram is helpful, however when i used the tone caps provided, it didn’t sound like i was playing with 0.022UF caps, sounded too dark. I lost my mid range and prescence in my tone-
Because of the “semi-Hollow”, it’s something to keep in mind. Funny thing is, I used the same tone caps from my ES335 kit which was brighter and had a crisp tone. Not a fault of Pitbull, but something to keep in mind if you’re considering this kit over a 335.
Overall i’m very pleased with this kit, and would recommend to anyone looking for a unique guitar challenge. Thanks Pitbull Team!!
