What a great kit. I have built several PBG kits so far and the JR-1DC is probably my favourite.

I made a few minor mods to the body and she is now the most comfortable guitar in my collection. Now my number one “go to” guitar.

In tone, definitely not as versatile as a Strat or even a Tele, but as a rock guitar she is a classic. Learn how to use the volume and tone knobs and, like me, you will not want to put her down.

Whilst I have built quite a few PBG guitar kits in the last 12 months, I still come back to my PBG LP Jnr-DC. It plays beautifully, the action is silky smooth, and the stock 90 pickup really does sound amazing.

The kit was one of the most enjoyable builds I’ve ever had. The overall design of the guitar just so simple and elegant, with only a few moving parts. It’s very easy to just settle in an concentrate on building a beautiful instrument. The electronics is equally straightforward to solder up – only a simple volume pot and tone circuit standing between you and raw vintage power.

Fantastic kit, fantastic experience, fantastic result.
