It comes up a treat and looks pretty nice (I only French Polished it), the Trapeze adds a nice little touch.

I am no pro at soldering but didn’t manage to screw it up. Completed the guitar in 4 nights.

Still can’t work out what the little black triangular piece of plastic is for though.

The sound is so so but that is more my ineptitude with string height and tuning, but I will get it right.

Great fun to build and easy to get it looking amazing. Great guitar all round!

If you love Rickenbackers, then you’ll love how this kit looks and sounds. Whilst the body is a little smaller than the traditional Ricky 330, it really does look great with the binding and sound hole. The kit is a set neck so some care is required when gluing, but on the other hand the wiring is the easiest of all the hollowbody kits – it’s all right there on the back of the pickguard. The stock pickups sound great (remarkably so) and the neck is nice to play. I’m stoked with how mine came out and I’d recommend this kit to anyone. Do yourself a favour and buy a couple of rubber grommets to lift the second pickguard up off the lower one – it looks more authentic that way. Or better still hit me up for some on the forum, I bought a packet of 100!
